NFL Week 1 Trends
Featured System: The League is 14-0 ATS (10.9 ppg) in database history when they lost by between 25 and 34 the last time they faced the team within the last three years but did score in that game, if that team won between 5 and 12 of its last 16 games last year
Vince has discovered a week one exclusive leaguewide system which reads “The League is 14-0 ATS (10.9 ppg) in database history in week one when they lost by between 25 and 34 the last time they faced the team within the last three years but did score in that game, if that team won between 5 and 12 of its last 16 games last year.”
These teams are able to play this team which blew them out last season must closer in the year opener, and have won 10 of the 14 games straight up.
A look at the quarterly results shows that these teams have actually fallen behind in the first quarter of these games by 1.3 points on average before taking command in the second quarter with an average +4.4 point average.
This trend is active twice in week one, on the Giants, who lost to the Giants, 41-9, in week 16 last year and the Chiefs, who fell to 43-14 to San Diego in week 12.
The system was active last year in week one, again with a Monday night game against San Diego. In that contest, Oakland covered the 9.5 point spot in a 24-20 loss.
Note: With limited trends active in week one due to the lack of previous game data, we are using this opportunity to show the ability to run teaser trends. Any trend with the “p6” or “m6” designation after the ATS is a two-team teaser trend, meaning it qualifies as a winner within six points of the line or total. “p6” is for a play on teaser and “m6” is for a play against teaser
