2 8 6 2-1-0
(2-1-0) -7.80 Atlanta
Atlanta pulled off the road upset over the Saints and even though it was a fortunate overtime win, a win is a win. The Falcons host the browbeaten 49ers this week.
3 1 2 2-1-0
(2-1-0) -5.60 Green Bay
Green Bay drops only a couple spots after its loss Monday night. The Packers won the yardage battle by over 100 yards against the Bears but 152 penalty yards didn't help.
4 3 1 2-1-0
(2-1-0) -4.70 Indianapolis
The Colts lost one spot this week mainly because of a mid-range schedule and porous defense. Indianapolis now faces a weak Jaguars team that always seems to play it tough.
5 12 7 2-1-0
(2-1-0) -4.40 N.Y. Jets
New York picked up a huge divisional win in Miami on Sunday night to force a three-way tie in the AFC East. The Jets play their third straight divisional game at Buffalo.
6 11 5 2-1-0
(1-2-0) -4.20 Baltimore
Baltimore made it interesting against Cleveland but was able to pull away at the end. The Ravens now will be looking to hand the Steelers their fist loss of the season.
7 5 2 3-0-0
(2-1-0) -3.30 Chicago
Chicago is now the lone undefeated team in the NFC after its MNF win over the Packers. The Bears have gotten the breaks as they have been outgained in their last two victories.
8 17 9 2-1-0
(2-1-0) -3.30 Cincinnati
The Bengals took care of a hapless Carolina team but Carson Palmer continues to struggle. Cincinnati has two more very winnable games before it heads into the bye week.
9 13 4 2-1-0
(2-1-0) -2.80 Tennessee
Tennessee followed up its tough home loss against the Steelers with an impressive road win against the Giants. After a home game this week, four of the next five are on the road.
10 15 5 2-1-0
(1-2-0) -2.40 New England
New England won against the Bills but it was not as easy as people thought. The Patriots head to Miami Monday night for their third straight divisional game before the bye.
11 19 8 2-1-0
(1-2-0) -2.40 Philadelphia
Philadelphia is clicking with Michael Vick at quarterback but the two wins have been against lesser competition. The Eagles welcome back Donovan McNabb and the Redskins this week.
12 6 6 2-1-0
(2-1-0) -2.20 Miami
The Dolphins dropped their first game of the season and the road team is now 3-0 in their games. That could move to 4-0 with the Patriots coming to town for a key MNF battle.
13 4 9 2-1-0
(2-1-0) -1.20 Houston
Houston lost it first game of the season against a desperate Cowboys team as redzone failures did the Texans in. They must bounce back in a tough spot in Oakland this week.
14 24 10 1-2-0
(1-2-0) -1.10 Dallas
Dallas looked like it finally cared as it picked up a must-win over Houston heading into its bye week. The week off may have come at a bad time following the first win.
15 9 6 1-2-0
(1-2-0) -1.10 San Diego
The Chargers continue to add to their annual slow start after a loss at Seattle. San Diego now has three relatively easy games before a big home game with New England.
16 7 9 2-1-0
(1-2-0) -0.20 New Orleans
New Orleans is looking less and less like a Super Bowl champion. It was guilty of trying to find ways to lose in its first two games and found one this past week against Atlanta.
17 14 3 3-0-0
(3-0-0) 0.50 Kansas City
Kansas City is 3-0 to start the season which is a surprise to most everyone. The early bye week is a killer though as momentum is shut down and then games at Indy and Houston.
18 18 1-2-0
(1-2-0) 1.10 N.Y. Giants
Here we go again for the Giants. The win over Carolina opening week looks worse and worse as New York has been blown out the last two games. The undefeated Bears are next.
19 16 3 1-2-0
(1-2-0) 1.20 Denver
Denver was in a tough spot at home against the Colts and it easily could have picked up the victory as it won the yardage battle 519-365 but lost the turnover battle 2-0.
20 22 2 1-2-0
(1-2-0) 2.00 Minnesota
Minnesota picked up its much needed win at home prior to its bye week. While momentum will be halted the time off is the best for the Vikings to work on things.
21 10 11 2-1-0
(2-1-0) 2.00 Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay lost its first game of the season as it was blown out by the Steelers. Was it an aberration or were the first two games won because of the poor opposition?
22 31 9 0-3-0
(1-2-0) 2.40 Buffalo
Buffalo makes an impressive climb up the rankings despite losing and dropping to 0-3. The Bills gave the Patriots all they could handle as the offense finally showed some life.
23 25 2 2-1-0
(1-2-0) 2.90 Arizona
Arizona is the lowest ranked two-win team as those wins came against the lowly Rams and Raiders and both of those could have been lost in the final minute of the game.
24 20 4 2-1-0
(2-1-0) 2.90 Seattle
The Seahawks won for the second time in two tries against a preseason divisional favorite although the 49ers are looking far from that now. Seattle lost the yardage battle 518-271 against the Chargers.
25 27 2 0-3-0
(1-2-0) 3.30 Cleveland
Cleveland dropped to 0-3 after a third straight game it could have won. The Browns are getting outgained by just 7.4 ypg and getting outscored by just 4.0 ppg. Tough luck team.
26 26 1-2-0
(1-2-0) 3.70 Oakland
A missed field goal dropped Oakland to 1-2 and prevented its first 2-1 start since 2004. The Raiders are outgaining opponents by 90.6 ypg, which is the third best in football.
27 30 3 0-3-0
(2-1-0) 4.00 Detroit
Detroit is 0-3 for the third time in five years. The Lions are getting outgained by 111.4 ypg because of the third worst defense in the league. Now they head to Green Bay. Yikes.
28 23 5 1-2-0
(1-2-0) 4.50 Jacksonville
Jacksonville is getting outgained by a league-worst 126.6 ypg after its second straight blowout. The Colts come knocking this week and a win will completely turn the season around.
29 28 1 0-3-0
(1-2-0) 5.00 San Francisco
San Francisco is the biggest disappointment this season. The 49ers were in its first two games but in a must win situation, they were absolutely dominated at Kansas City.
30 21 9 1-2-0
(1-2-0) 5.60 Washington
Washington is lucky to not be 0-3 right now as the fortunate win over the Cowboys have been completely offset by losses against Houston and St. Louis. McNabb returns to Philly this week.
31 29 2 0-3-0
(0-3-0) 6.80 Carolina
Matt Moore was not the answer for the Panthers and it looks like Jimmy Clausen isn't the answer either. The nine-year run of John Fox in Carolina could soon be over.
32 32 1-2-0
(2-1-0) 8.30 St. Louis
St. Louis won for just the second time in 29 games and while a win could have moved the Rams up, it was not
